This survey is an essential component to finalizing the results of our conscience question because it supports our argument by showing that the vast majority of those who know about the subject deem mass surveillance as extreme and unconstitutional. Our group felt that these were important questions to pose since this is a commonly overlooked topic, as shown by the results. Often times, one is ignorant to the fact that their private online/telephone conversations are most likely being examined by NSA surveillance programs. Asking these questions creates more awareness for the topic and helps us better understand where other people stand on the issue. The results of this survey prove that not many people are well informed on this problematic issue between the government and its citizens, and that those who are well informed mostly agree that mass surveillance of innocent citizens is definitely unconstitutional.
